About Hobby Robots

Hobby Robots exists because most robotics tutorials stop working the moment your wiring differs from the photo — and most school robotics kits end up in a cupboard.

What this site is

A robotics learning resource built in India, for the parts you can actually buy in India. Today that means a free library of build guides — each with an exact bill of materials at Indian street prices, wiring tables that explain the reasoning, complete tested code, and honest troubleshooting sections. The guides share one consistent pinout and one philosophy: every project reuses the last project’s parts, so a ₹1,500 robot car grows into a competition line follower instead of gathering dust.

What we are building next

The free guides are the foundation of a learning portal in active development: guided project tracks with progress records for students, and batch dashboards, workshop scheduling, and progress reports for schools and institutes. It is being built in the open, prioritised by real enquiries — the early-access plans are how students and institutes get in first and shape it.

Who is behind it

Hobby Robots is a project of Finite Skills, an Indian software company that builds and operates its own suite of web and mobile applications. The robotics content and the portal are developed under the same roof.
